William C. Kuhfahl, 64, of Bethlehem passed away after a valiant battle with Mental Illness on Wednesday April 28, 2021 and is resting in the presence of his Savior-Jesus. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the loving son of the late Rev. Warren C. and Dorothy (Cheyne) Kuhfahl. William honorably served his country in the United States Army where he earned the rank of Major. William was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1975. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and went on to further his education and earn his Master’s degree.
William was a Hazardous Waste Scientist in the Chemical Weapons Department at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland for most of his life until retiring early to be a full time caregiver to his mother. He was a member of East Hills Moravian Church, Bethlehem. William was a man with strong principles, booming singing voice and was very generous. He enjoyed theatrical productions and scuba diving. William also loved traveling and was deeply impacted by the COVID pandemic restrictions.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Wendy Johnstone and her husband Rob of Perkasie, PA and Wanda Kuhfahl Bodine of Effort, PA; brother Wayne C. Kuhfahl and his wife Vita of Prescott Valley, AZ as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren C. “Chuck” Kuhfahl.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
