Willette Francene Walker of Bethlehem Pa made her transition from this world on September 1, 2023, at the age 71, after years of battling many health issues. A Bethlehem native she was born on June 28, 1952.Daughter of the late William James Walker and the late Henrye Esther (Robinson) Singleton. Willette had an unmatched magnetic personality. Always putting others first before herself. Even through her years of health struggles she continued to make sure the people around knew how much she loved and appreciated them. Willette had a few different jobs after college in social work before becoming a case worker for Pennsylvania State Department of Public Welfare for 35 years until retirement due to health issues. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and St. Paul’s Baptist Church at her passing. Willette was a proud and dedicated member of The Elks Bethal Lodge 1284, and Lehigh Temple 930 of the Improved Benevolent Protective Order Elks of the World. Doing volunteer work and many philanthropic works all through her life. She lived, to love life and truly considered everyday a blessing. Moments with her friends and family were her deepest cherished moments she would say. Willette or Lette as she was called will be missed dearly.
Survived by her only daughter, Henriesther Walker. Her sisters Willina Walker, Rosie Stanton, Molly Stanton, Michelle Stanton and Laverne Stanton; brothers Will Stanton and Tony Stanton; uncle Robert Lee Robinson. Along with a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jamar Walker and brothers Henry Walker, Marvin Walker, William Walker Jr, and Michael Stanton.
Service will be held on September 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home., located at 500 Linden St, Bethlehem Pa 18018, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
