Virginia "Ginny" M. (Bednar) Durfey

Virginia M. “Ginny” Durfey, 92, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 13, 2019 while in the care of Cedarbrook Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Donald H. Durfey, Sr. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Goldie (Menges) Bednar. Ginny owned and operated Virgina Durfey’s Beauty Salon in Fountain Hill for many years until retiring in the 1990’s. She enjoyed going and organizing bus trips. Ginny loved going to the Jersey Shore and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill, where she sang in the choir.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Diane Willhoit (Chris) of Fountain Hill, Kimberly Rudolph (Benjamin) of Fountain Hill, Jo Durfey (Doug Kozo) of Emmaus and Donald Durfey, III (Ashley) of Emmaus and nine loving great grandchildren. Ginny was preceded in death by her son Donald H. Durfey Jr. 
 

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
