Thomas Judson Smull Obituary

Thomas Judson Smull, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday January 5, 2021. He was the devoted husband of Deborah (Bland) Smull, with whom he shared over 32 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Judson G. Jr. and Gertrude (Miller) Smull. Thomas earned his Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, class of 1969. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Thomas was the Manager of Database Systems at Lehigh University for 34 years until retiring. He was a member of Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem. Thomas was an avid bicyclist, skier and motor vehicle hobbyist, but most of all a loving husband and father.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Deborah, he will be remembered by his daughters Mary Smull and her husband Chris Powell of Philadelphia, Jennifer Smull and her husband Carlos Ufret of Round Rock, Texas, and Erika Smull and her husband Adam Wlostowki of Durham, North Carolina; son Judson Smull and his partner Madeline Brinker of New York; siblings Louise Negley and husband Scott of Kennebunk, ME, Margaret Hopper and her husband Richard of Spartanburg, SC and Mary Arguelles and husband Frank of West Reading and his loving grandchildren Judson K. Powell and Silvia R. Ufret.

Services: A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Thomas’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
