Theresa A. (Barilovits) Thoder

Theresa A. Thoder, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 while in the care of Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late John A. Thoder who passed away in 1997. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Geosits) Barilovits. Theresa was an active member of St. John Capistrano where she was a member of the Altar and rosary society, noodle guild and Associates of the Daughters of Divine Charity. She was employed by M.W. Wood Co. at Lehigh University for 23 years. Theresa received the Good Neighbor Award and Honorary Member from the Lehigh University Alumni Association, a special recognition award from the M.W.Wood Co. She was also employed by the Bethlehem Steel and Martin Towers. Theresa was an avid reader and was known for her cooking and baking. 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son David Thoder and wife Tanya of Bethlehem Twp.; sisters Anne Killo of Bethlehem and Hilda Hitcho and her husband George of Bethlehem; grandchildren Suzanne Nicholas and her husband Mark, David Thoder, Jr. and Christopher Sterner and his wife Beth and her loving great grandchildren Zachary Nicholas, Connor Nicholas and Hailey Thoder. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Sterner and her sister Mary Szulborski. 

Services: The Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Monday March 8, 2021 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
