Theresa (Martino) Italiano

Theresa (Martino) Italiano, 76, of Palmer Township, passed away suddenly on Saturday March 11, 2023. She was the wife of the late Sebastiano Italiano, who passed away on Nov. 19, 2007. Born in Beltiglio, Province of Benevento, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Peppino and Eleanora Martino. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Theresa worked as a technician for Agere Systems (formerly Lucent/AT&T) in Allentown for over 25 years, until retiring in 2003. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township, where she was a school volunteer and part of the fellowship group. She also enjoyed spending her time volunteering at the St. Francis Retreat Center.  When Theresa was not playing and laughing with her 3 grandchildren, you could find her walking outside, cooking for her family, or tending to her yard and garden.  Her greatest love was her family and her grandchildren, who she adored dearly.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Rosalia Lorenza Italiano-Cacciabeve and her husband Dave of Bethlehem; grandchildren Carina Teresa, Elena Grace and Sebastian James; fiancé Dennis Wieder of Breinigsville. She is also survived by her siblings Angelo Martino, Domenica Michetti, Diamante Zullo, Antonina Cavuoto, Candida DeMai, and Carmen Martino, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Ida Calabro. 

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 and  on Thursday morning at the church from 10 A.M. until time of the Mass. Entombment will follow in the family’s private mausoleum at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
