Stephen Polczer Obituary

Stephen C. Polczer, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of the late Theresa M. “Teri” (Sebio) Polczer sharing 58 years of marriage.   Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Stephen and Josephine (Merlo) Polczer. Steve was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1958. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Steve worked for the Bethlehem Steel for most of his life until retiring at 57. Steve and his wife “teri” enjoyed  traveling and  taking a  great many  cruises after they both retired. They  spoke often of  the  glorious  wonders and sites  they both got to experience.     He was an avid member of the Lehigh Valley treasure hunters club finding countless coins, rings and many items for over 50 years.  He was an avid hunter spending much time with his sons and grandsons creating incredible memories.   Steve was a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan even when they were in last place.  He would still stay up to watch them  until 2AM.  Thats how dearly he loved  those  Phillies.  His other love  was  nascar  racing.  His dream was  to see the  Daytona 500  which he proudly got to see.  Steve enjoyed every moment with  his  grandchildren and  was the best babysitter  anyone could ever have.  HE  was  such a proud  grandfather!  His  six great grandchildren loved him dearly as he loved  spending time with all of  them.  He always spoke how blessed he was with his  faith, family and friends.  He will be  remembered  for his love, faith, strength , wisdom , courage, friendship and that strong pillar of his family.  His  awesome presence will be well missed by all who knew him.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his son Stephen J. Polczer of Northampton; sisters Joanne Ellis of Bethlehem and Annemarie Seman of Lower Saucon; grandchildren Kathryn, Stephen and Sean and 6 loving great grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife Teri, he was preceded in death by his beloved son David Polczer.
