Sofia Dross Obituary
Sofia Dross, 100, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2018. She was the wife of the late Jose Alfonso Dross, who died in 1985.
Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Sofia was the daughter of the late Juan and Carmela (Ortiz) Martinez. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandchildren for her entire family.
Survivors: children Sofia Negron, Eulogio A. Dross, Luz Miriam Bayo, Luis Dross, Olga Melendez, Rosaura Leon, Margarita Perez, Evelyn Calderon, and Harry Dross; sister Asia Martinez; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. Sofia was predeceased by her children Sonia Melendez, Nilda Santiago and Sylvia Vilches; and by her siblings Candida, Josepha and Paulita.
Services: A Calling Hour will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Sunday evening in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at 10 AM Monday at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, 18015, followed by interment at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.
