Sarah (Hancsis) Mazsa

Sarah (Hancsis) Mazsa, 97, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 while in the care of Westminster Village. She was the loving wife of the late John J. Mazsa. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Feren) Hancsis. Sarah was employed by the Bethlehem Steel where she made artillery shells prior to having her children. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening and doing puzzles. Above all, her family and faith were most important in her life. 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Walp and her husband Richard of Allentown; son David Mazsa and his wife Jeanne Kotuby of Brooklyn, NY; brothers Peter Hanchick and his wife Barbara and James Hanchick of NJ; grandchildren Ian Mazsa and his wife Elizabeth, Joshua Masza and his wife Jen and Bradley Walp and his wife Kristen and her loving great granddaughters Violet and Mia. She was preceded in death by her siblings Michael Hanchick, John Hanchick and Anna Babich. 

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
