Roy Lahr Obituary

Roy H. Lahr, Jr., 100 of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Heil) Lahr.
Born in Newburg, Roy was the son of the late Roy J. and Hazel (Kincaid) Lahr. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and then worked in the Meter Department of Bethlehem Steel Corp., retiring after 39 years of service. He enjoyed being outside around his house and cabin, as well as playing golf and bowling. He was a member of the American Legion, and played the clarinet in the Nazareth Band. He was a long-time member of St. John's UCC Church in Bethlehem Township.

Survivors: son Gerald Lahr and his wife Cecelia of Easton; grandchildren Gerald Lahr, Jr., Jonathan Lahr and Robert Lahr. Roy was predeceased by his siblings Virginia Buss, Leon Lahr and Kenneth Lahr.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of services. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com
