Robert A. Stickle, 65, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was the loving husband of Wendy (Van Fleet) Stickle, with whom he shared over 37 years of marriage. Born in South Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Harris) Stickle. Bob was a graduate of South Plainfield High School, class of 1976. He worked as a Senior Operations Manager for FedEx for over 31 years until retiring. Bob played for the New Jersey Oaks Semi-pro football league and he was also a golden glove boxer. He was also a proud football coach for the Our Lady of Perpetual Help flag team, and later the Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks. He was an avid Los Angeles Rams and Oklahoma Sooners fan. Bob had a passion for music, singing and playing the guitar, and had a particular love for The Beatles. He enjoyed all things history from crafting to movies and books. Bob enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, gardening and spending time with his family.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Wendy, he will be remembered by his sons Dillon Stickle of Bethlehem, and James Stickle and his daughter-in-law Caitlin Krutsick of College Park, MD; sisters Janet Wichelman and her husband John of Middletown, NJ and Joan Goodwin and her husband Tommy of Toms River, NJ; canine companion Harley and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother George Stickle.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and also on Friday morning from 10 A.M. until time of the service. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
