Richard Sciarra Obituary
Richard Vincent "Rick" Sciarra, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 11, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Dolores "Dee" (Jennings) Sciarra with whom he shared 15 years of happy marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James and Mabel (Gross) Sciarra. Rick was a self employed auto glass technician and also worked for several local glass companies. He also worked at New World Aviation. He was a member of Notre Dame Church of Bethlehem, and was a life member of the N.E. Wanderers Association. Rick was a fast pitch softball pitcher for many years. He also enjoyed golf tournaments and playing in pool leagues.
Survivors: In addition to his caring wife Dee, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Debbie Wilson and husband, Dean, Denise Tarsi and husband, Tony, Cindy Tereska and husband, Todd; son Richard Sciarra and wife, Jennifer; daughter-in-law, Janene Palladino, and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by stepson, Jason Torres and wife, Joanne, stepson, Sean Torres, and stepdaughter, Sarah Rugg and husband, Jon and 3 step grandsons. Rick was preceded in death by his son, Richard Palladino, brother, James Sciarra and sister, Mary Shimer.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
