Lucille Marshall Obituary

Lucille G. Marshall, 86, of Kirkland Village in Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Donald H. Marshall with whom she shared over 61 years of loving marriage. Born in Freemansburg, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Margaret (Coleman) Gross. Lucille was a graduate of Liberty High School, the St. Luke’s Hospital, School of Nursing and she also attended Union County College in NJ where she studied Gerontology. Lucille was part of the team in New Jersey that created an Adult Day Care for Alzheimer’s and the frail elderly.  She was a member of Grace Church, Bethlehem, their ministries and Bible Study Fellowship for many years. Lucille had a deep faith in God and the love God gave her provided the joy she had in loving others. Lucille was thankful for the many friends who shared her faith. Lucille’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lacey, Tara, Autumn, Jennifer and all the staff of Aspire Hospice for the care and support they provided to Lucille and their family. 
 

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband and best friend Donny, she will be remembered by her son Craig Marshall and wife Terri of Fort Mill, SC; daughters Betsey Burgdorf of Summit, NJ and Alyson Mahoney of Bernardsville, NJ; her loving grandchildren Brendan and wife Jessica, Kelsey, Sadie, Drew, Christian, Jackson, Toby, Max and Molly and her loving nieces Karen and Holly Gross. Lucille was preceded in death by her brother William C. Gross and his wife Barbara.
 

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Grace Church 521 E. Locust Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com. 
     

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Lucille Gross Marshall, 1955 St. Luke’s School of Nursing Graduate Fund awarded to a graduate going into the field of Geriatrics or Hospice and Palliative Care. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Luke’s Hospital Development Office, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
