Louis Eustace Lombardi, age 95, passed away on January 16, 2022 he lived in Easton, PA and previously in New Bern, NC and Florham Park, NJ. He was the husband of Lois (Reynolds) Lombardi and the late Marguerite (McEnerney) Lombardi.
He was born on October 11, 1926 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Eustachio and Nunziata (Coia) Lombardi. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as Chief Petty Officer of the 40th Company Seabee’s during WW2 having served in the Pacific during the battles of Saipan and Okinawa. He was a member of Holy Family Knights of Columbus and a Free Mason. He served as umpire during the late sixties for Florham Park Little League games. He was retired many years and worked for major food processors as Vice President of Sales with Nabisco and Forster Farms in their frozen division throughout his career. He was very proud of finally achieving a one in one playing gild during his retirement. He loved traveling with his wife to Europe and going to visit his parents’s home town of Tocco Da Casauria, Italy.
He is survived by three sons, Gary (Gail) of Sanford, FL, Paul (Kelly) of Sacramento, CA., Louis (Stacey) of Kingman, AZ., and daughter Marguerite (Collins) of Allentown, PA., and a step daughter Patti Mountjoy of Bethlehem, PA. Two sister’s in law Susan (McEnerney) Dobratz of Forest, VA., and Lucille McEnerney of Prospect, CT., and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by four brothers, James, Joseph, Anthony, and John Lombardi along with one sister Angeline Smeraglia all from Waterbury, CT.
The family wishes to thank St. Luke’s Hospital- Anderson Campus staff in both the Covid and Cardiac units for thier hard work, kindness, empathy, and dedication to their work.
