Kevin C. Ashner, 66, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2021 while in the care of Lehigh Valley Hospice.
He was the devoted husband of Irene (Przybylkiewicz) Ashner, with whom he shared over 40 years of loving marriage. Born in Lehighton, he was the son of Joyce (Lentz) Ashner and the late Eugene H. “Gene” Ashner.
Kevin was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1972 where he was a member of the Liberty High School Grenadier Band. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years. Kevin worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Ingersoll Rand, Alumitek and Flexicon Corporation. Most recently he enjoyed his job working at Wegmans along with cutting grass for a handful of friends in Bethlehem. Kevin enjoyed golfing, especially in his yearly golf outing in Luray, Virginia with close friends and family. Music was his passion. You could always catch Kevin singing one of his favorite songs from the 50’s 60’s, & 70’s. He enjoyed singing oldies at the Artisan Wine Cellar in Bethlehem.
He loved sports and being involved with Lehigh Little League as well as being an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Phillies fan.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Irene and mother Joyce, he will be remembered by his daughter Alyssa Walters and husband Joseph of Philadelphia; son Paul Ashner of Bethlehem; brother Keith R. Ashner and wife Jane of Coopersburg; grandchildren Dominic, Christian and Anthony Walters and granddog Tilly; niece Christina Callahan and daughter Savannah; nephew Marc Ashner and his wife Lauren and daughter Mckensie; Brother in Law Henry Przybylkiewicz and wife Jane of Saylorsburg as well as many loving friends.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Due to current restrictions, we ask you to follow social distancing protocols and a facial covering must be worn. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
