Kathleen Sparrow Obituary

     Kathleen “Kathy" Sparrow, 83, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2020 in her brother’s home surrounded by her loving family, while under the care of St. Luke's Hospice. She was the loving wife of Allen Sparrow with whom she shared over 53 years of loving marriage. Born in Butztown, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Claire E. (Kincaid) Hein. Kathy was a graduate of Liberty High School. She was employed the Bethlehem Steel for 12 years, a seamstress for Sparrow Blouse for 10 years and she also worked as a School Aide for the Holy Trinity Lutheran School, Bethlehem. Kathy was an active member of Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was an avid Iron Pigs baseball fan. 

    Survivors: In addition to her loving husband Allen; son David Sparrow of Allentown; daughter Beth Sparrow of Allentown; brother Clarence Hein and his wife Eileen of Bethlehem; sister Charlene Klase of Spring Mills; grandson Stephen Kuhar and great granddaughter Kairi Kuhar. Kathy was preceded in death by her brother William Hein. 

    Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 514 3rd Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18018 with light refreshments to follow. Kathy’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmfiuneralhome.com.
