Julio Ortiz

Julio Ortiz, 75, of Fountain Hill, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He was the beloved life partner of Margarita Rojas with whom he shared over 39 years of loving companionship. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on April 3, 1948, he was a son of the late Ismael Ortiz and Inocencia Albelo.

Julio worked as a building maintenance man for many years until he retired. He also built furniture for Shawnee Penn for several years. Julio enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing Dominos. Above all he cherished his time spent with his family.

Julio will be lovingly remembered by his companion Margarita; children, Julio Ortiz of Hellertown, Scott Ortiz of Coopersburg, Melitza Lopez and her husband Edgar of Hanover Twp., Julito Ortiz of Bethelehem, Gretchen Schaeffer and her husband Andrew of Stroudsburg, and Crystal Ortiz of Fountain Hill; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brother, Concepcion Ortiz; sisters, Maria Rosario Rivera, Pilar Agosto, Nilda Flores, Rosa Ortiz, and Martha Trinidad. He was predeceased by brothers, George Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Simplicio Juan Ortiz, Manuel Ortiz, Hector Albelo, Wilfredo Albelo, and Luis Ortiz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM to the time of service. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Memorial Park, 1851 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
