Josephine B. (Zych) Lopez

Josephine Barbara (Zych) Lopez, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Robert V. Lopez with whom she shared over 66 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, on January 20, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Rosa (Kosmala) Zych. 

Josephine worked for Bethlehem Steel as an Elevator Operator Girl. She was a loving and caring homemaker always putting her family first. Josephine was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, the Race Goers, and the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and going to Wind Creek. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family the most.

Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert; son, Robert “Bobby” P. Lopez and his wife Lee Ann; granddaughter, Alyssa Kathi Lopez and her fiancé Christopher Amaral; daughter Debra Williams, granddaughter, Alison Rose Williams, and sister, Stella Coppola.  She was predeceased by sisters, Helen Mickowski, Anna Rasich, Rose Geseck, Kathryn Andreoli and Mary DeMarinis; brothers Frank and John Zych; son-in-law John D. Williams.

Josephine’s family would like to thank Sacred Heart Senior Living - Saucon Creek and Family Pillars Hospice for the care and compassion showed to her and her family.   

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
