Joseph G. Adamcik, 76, of Freemansburg, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. He shared 51 years of marriage with his loving wife Barbara Adamcik. He was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Bednar) Adamcik. Growing up in Bethlehem, Joe was a 1965 graduate of Becahi, was self-employed as a General Contractor and enjoyed entering bowling tournaments. Always a hard worker, he later in life built several apartment buildings, owned and operated RC Video Games, and did maintenance work for Holy Ghost Catholic Church and Incarnation of Our Lord Church, formerly known as Saints Cyril and Methodius Church. As a faithful Catholic, he said the Rosary every day and always wore his St. Jude medal. His daughter Lisa was the “apple of his eye“ and he passed onto her some of his carpentry skills so she became competent in doing remodeling in her own home. He was also a man who changed from saying “No cats in the house” to “If I ever hit the lottery I’m building a cat shelter”. Charlie will miss him, and JJ and Romeo will be waiting by the Rainbow Bridge to greet him.
