John Sikler Obituary
John Sikler, 62 of Bethlehem entered eternal life on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Deborah (Filo) Sikler with whom he shared 36 years of loving marriage. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Heckman) Sikler. John was a graduate of Northampton High School. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel as a loader for many years and most recently at Saucon Valley School District as a book clerk. John loved going to Lake Wallenpaulpack where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed his trips to the casino and was an avid Penn State fan. John was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Bethlehem Township.
Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Deborah; siblings, Thomas Sikler and his wife Patricia of Tavares, FL, Laura Reely and her husband Ronald of Pompano Beach, FL, David Sikler of Monroe, NC and Matthew Sikler and his wife Suzzy of Pembroke Pines, FL; nieces and nephews, Robert Richards Jr. and his wife Tracy, Tara Richards, Shawn Balf, Lee Folland, Chasady Stork, Zachary Sikler, Samara Sikler, Eric Sikler, Kristen Sikler, Reid Richards and Ty Richards; and sister in law Shirley Richards and her husband Robert.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday August 5, 2017 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9 A.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com.
