James A. Wood, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Cedarbrook Fountain Hill. He was the widower of Constance F. (Fatzinger) Wood. Born on October 29, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late Marvin and Florence (Love) Wood.
James graduated from the Bethlehem High School. He worked as a storekeeper for Bethlehem Steel for many years until he retired. James honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Bethlehem. He enjoyed sports, being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisher. Above all James cherished his time spent with his family.
Survivors: James will be lovingly remembered by his son, Mark Wood and companion Christine Thomas of Bethlehem; daughter, Lisa Sterner and husband Dennis of Bethlehem; ex daughter-in-law, Lisa (Gennusa) Wood; sister, Dorothy Lippencott and husband Bob of Holland, NJ; granddaughter, Carly Ackerman and husband Scott; great granddaughters, Giavanna, Briella, Nastassia and Veronica.
Services: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem PA where relatives and friends can call from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park with full military honors. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
