James E. Henninger

James E. Henninger, beloved husband of Marcella (Petrucella) Henninger for 57 years, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 after a courageous battle with Adenocarcinoma.  Born in Hazleton on September 21, 1947, he was the son of the late Elmer and Marion (Steibler) Henninger.  He graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and he proudly served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.  He served as a Congressional Liaison at the overseas replacement center at Fort Lewis, Washington.  Jim was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he worked as a pricer and a claims adjuster for 32 years.  After retiring from Bethlehem Steel, he worked for Synthetic Thread for three years as a salesman.  He was recruited by American Efird in Mount Holly, NC where he worked until he retired in 2005, to be close to his family.  However, retirement never left him idle as he was always willing to help family, friends or neighbors.  He and Marcie, who were junior high school sweethearts enjoyed many years of travel together.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bethlehem.    

Survivors: He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcella and his loving and treasured children, Lorie Lee of Philadelphia and Jamie and his wife Leslie of Bethlehem.
