Isabel Ortiz Rivera

Isabel Ortiz Rivera, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Wilfredo Calderon. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Delores (Lolo) Ortiz and Pasquala Rivera. Isabel worked in the Nutrition Department of St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill for 15 years until retiring. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Isabel always had a beautiful smile on her face and a big loving heart. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Isabel enjoyed watching her Spanish soap operas and game shows. 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Olga Calderon, Jeanette Calderon and Gladys Calderon and her sister Elvira Ortiz as well as 10 loving grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Isabel was preceded in death by her daughter Maria Melendez, granddaughter Michele Melendez and her 4 sisters and 2 brothers. 

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. The funeral service will be live streamed and may be viewed on Isabel's obituary page at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
