Frederick L. Yeakel

Frederick L. Yeakel, 88, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy K. (Kelemen) Yeakel. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Russell Sterling and Esther Violet (Tress) Yeakel. Fred was a graduate of Liberty High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Fred worked for Heil Environmental for most of his life until retiring. He was a proud Eagle Scout and self-taught ukulele and piano player. Fred enjoyed entertaining and spending time with his family and friends. He had a love for his hometown of Bethlehem where he was born and raised especially all his neighbors on Primrose Lane. Fred was an active volunteer with TDI dog Therapy and had a love for dogs, especially his canine companion Cody.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jill wife of Clark Griffith of Lansdale, Sandi wife of Joe Tomanik of Allentown, Kim wife of Ed Wychock of Greentown; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Nevin Yeakel and James Yeakel.
