Evelyn W. (Moyer) Durfey

Evelyn Durfey, 93, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021 while in the care of St. Lukes Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Clifford L. Durfey.  Born in Bally, she was the daughter of the late Erwin and Emma (Weiss) Moyer. Evelyn worked as a garment worker early on in her life and for Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill in Housekeeping until retiring.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill. Evelyn enjoyed going to yard sales with her family and friends. 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol Edwards and husband Wayne of Bethlehem; son Robert Durfey and wife Belinda of Whitehall; grandsons David Edwards, Scott Edwards and wife Aurora, Michael Edwards, Kyle Durfey and fiance Brooke and Tyler Durfey and her loving great granddaughter Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer, Clarence, Erwin, LeRoy and Raymond and sisters, Helen Barnett, Lillian Gottschalk, Mary Bader and Verna Slozat. 

Services: A Funeral Service will take place at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 8, 2021  At the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Due to current restrictions, we ask you to follow social distancing protocols and a facial covering must be worn. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
