Esperanza Rodriguez

Esperanza Rodriguez, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Esperanza was born on September 30, 1930 in Juncos, Puerto Rico to the late Roman and Maria (Augosto) Rodriguez. Esperanza worked as a production worker for various companies over the years eventually retiring from Good Shepherd, Allentown. She was a member of Church of the Living Well and Holy Infancy Church, Bethlehem. Esperanza was always worshipping the Lord, reading her Bible and singing. Most of all she loved her family very much always putting them first and bringing them together. 

SURVIVORS: Esperanza will be lovingly missed by her children, Ana Vila and husband Juan of Puerto Rico, Lucy D. Acevedo and husband Domingo of Florida, Aida Acevedo and husband Hector of Florida, Roberto Rodriguez and wife Angela of Bethlehem and Zulma Rodriguez of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Lisa Crews and husband Wayne, Hector Acevedo and wife Priscilla, Luis Acevedo, Jose Reyes and wife Janett, Jennie Fernandes and husband Helder and Cristy Hernandez and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Almando Rodriguez Jr., Jose Reyes Jr., Dayshalee Hernandez, Jenesis Hernandez, Esperanza Hernandez, Amanda Garcia and Josiah Reyes. Esperanza was predeceased by son, Juanito Garcia; grandson, Miguel Reyes; great great granddaughter, Genesis Reyes.   

SERVICES: A contactless drive thru viewing will be held from 12P.M. to 1:30P.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem. A private burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com. 

CONTRIBUTIONS: In lieu of flowers can be made in Esperanza’s memory to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem PA 18018 to defray costs of memorialization.
