Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Brey) Ampietro

Elizabeth A. (Brey) Ampietro, 94, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022. She was the devoted wife of the late Dominic J. “Nick” Ampietro for 64 loving years. Born in Packerton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Mertz) Brey. She was an avid swimmer, sports fan and lifelong NY Yankee rooter. Her greatest enjoyment was watching her grandson Nicholas play baseball. Betty was an active volunteer for the Fountain Hill Playground and also St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, baking countless pies for the Bach festival. She participated in many bridge clubs throughout the valley. Above all, Betty was an loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. 
 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Nick and his wife, Patty, and their son, Nicolas of Salisbury Twp., and Dan and his wife, Virginia, of Montrose, CO; brothers Edward Brey and his wife Althea of Fountain Hill and Harry Brey and his wife Nancy of Davenport, FL. 
 

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 474 Vine St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.Calling Hours will be held on Monday evening  from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 A.M. until time of the service in the church.
