Eleanor J. (Siegfried) Stahl Richenderfer

Eleanor Stahl Richenderfer, 94, of Lutheran Manor, Bethlehem passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill.  She was the widow of Reber E. Richenderfer who died in 1996 and John F. Stahl who died in 1991.  Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen R. (Moyer) Siegfried.  A 1946 graduate of Allentown High School, Eleanor was a clerk at Bethlehem Bible Book Store for a few years and then the former Hackman’s Bible Book Store for 12 years before retiring.  She was a former volunteer for Miller Memorial Blood Center and Second Harvest Food Bank.  She was a longtime member of the former Olivet Evangelical Congregational Church, Bethlehem and a former member of St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church, East Allentown.  Eleanor enjoyed living at Luther Manor and her family members are eternally grateful for all of the friends that she made there and the care that she received there.  The family is also grateful for the excellent care she had received at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg Campus and Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill.  Eleanor’s final thoughts were, “I’m glad to go home”.  

Survivors: Sons, Richard J. Stahl of Bowmanstown, James L. Stahl and his wife Janet of Bethlehem, Thomas R. Stahl and his wife Wendy of Pittsburgh; step son, Dan R. Richenderfer of Myerstown; 10 grandchildren; 2 step granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson.  Eleanor was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Stahl Neipert; step son, Dale Richenderfer; daughter-in-law, Bonnie L. Stahl; brothers, Raymond Siegfried, Paul Siegfried; sisters, Grace Fromm, Edna Makos, Joyce Stuart, Patricia Sterner; brothers, Raymond Siegfried and Paul Siegfried.                 

Memorial Service 10:00AM Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Church of the Manger United Church of Christ, 1401 Greenview Dr., Bethlehem, PA 18018.  

Graveside committal 2:00PM Friday, May 12, 2023 at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem.
