Elda Eva (Reichard) Bruch, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Sterling Edward Bruch, Jr. Elda was born in Trexlertown, daughter of the late Llewellyn and Bertha (Nothstein) Reichard. She worked as the housekeeper and caretaker to Mr. Peterson, VP of the Mining Division of the Bethlehem Steel. Elda also worked at McDonalds and the school cafeterias for the Bethlehem Area School District. She was a faithful member of St. Thomas UCC, Bethlehem. She loved roller skating and crafting but above all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors: In addition to her loving husband Sterling, she will be remembered by her children Edward Bruch and his wife Mary Ann of Whitehall, Gary Bruch and his wife Cindy of Palmerton, Robert Bruch of Northampton, Beverly Josar and her husband Larry of Bethlehem, Gloria Jean Hurley and her husband Richard of Easton and David Bruch and his wife Nannette of Bethlehem; sister Bernice and her husband Sterling of Topton; grandchildren Jennifer, Owen, Claire, Holly, Matt, Amy, Brad, Cortney, Natalie, Derek and David and great grandchildren Peyton, Isabella, Serenity, Xavier, Luke, Jacob, Grayson, Faith, Sarah and Baby girl Hurley due in January. Elda was preceded in death by her great grandsons Vincent and Thomas.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
