Dorothy H. Lukaszczyk

Dorothy H. Lukaszczyk, 90, of Bethlehem died Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Health Care Center at Moravian Village, Bethlehem.  She was the beloved wife of Dr. Thomas A. Lukaszczyk who died October 11, 2023.  They will be celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2024 in Heaven.  Born in Stockertown, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fazekas) Matyas.  A graduate of Nazareth High School, she continued her education at St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing.  She was a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill until the birth of her first child.  Dorothy stayed involved in health care by being a member and serving a term as President of the Northampton County Medical Society Alliance.  She also was a former chairwoman of the Bethlehem-Tondabayashi Sister City Commission.  She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Children, Dr. John J. Lukaszczyk and his wife Peggy of Center Valley, Dr. Thomas A. Lukaszczyk, Jr. and his wife Ivonne of Santa Ynez, CA, Ann Lukaszczyk of Allentown; grandchildren, John J. Lukaszczyk and his wife Ana of Allentown, Rebecca Priblo and her husband Alex of Salisbury Township.  Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Irene Roy. 

Service: Funeral Mass 11:00AM Today, November 7, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 450 E.
