Domingo Rolón

Domingo Rolón of Freemansburg, PA, passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico on May 12, 1931, and raised by his adored mother Ramona Meléndez and father, Ambrosio Rolón.  Domingo was a beloved husband of Lydia (Ortega) Rolón with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.  He honorably served his country at the age of 19 in the United States Army where he fought in the Korean War.  Domingo was dedicated, hardworking, patient, inspiring, humorous, strong and loyal.  He learned to play guitar at a young age by listening to his father play.  He spent hours singing and playing the guitar with his family, his passion was music. Above all he possessed a heart of gold.  Domingo was truly devoted to his family and faith. 

Survivors: In addition to his wife Lydia, Domingo will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lory Rolón, Myra Reyes and husband Onix, Millie Rolón, Betsy Rolón and husband William Benitez; sons, Eric Rolón and wife Ann, Elvin Rolón and life partner Dr. Ernesto Rodriquez and Albert Rolón and wife Ivette.  Domingo is also survived by a host of beloved brothers and sisters and many adored and dearly cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, cousins and nephews.  

Services: A graveside service will take place at 10:30A.M. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, RR #2 Indiantown Gap Rd. Annville, Pa 17003. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00A.M. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th Street, Bethlehem, Pa 18015 where the family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30A.M. until the time of service.
