Obituary

Daniel David Diefenderfer, known to many as the “Dutchman”, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill at the age of 71. He was the husband of the late Diana Diefenderfer. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Viola (Erdman) Diefenderfer. Dutch was a talented musician. His love and passion for music was beyond measure through his vocals and harmonica. His bands, Dutch’s Basement Blues Band and Dutchman and Roman, enjoyed entertaining many throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Dutch’s legacy will shine on through his music as he is now playing on the big stage in the sky.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Kelly Butterbaugh of Center Valley and grandson Christopher Butterbaugh as well as his band mates and many friends.

Dutch’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
