Charlie Weidner Obituary

Charlie C. Weidner, of Salisbury Township, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. He celebrated life’s ups and downs with his best friend and life partner Maggie these past 28 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen (Miller) Weidner. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. A member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Charlie retired in 2009 from Lanta where he was a bus driver for 10 years. Previously he was employed at Bethlehem Steel in the coke works and was a member of the Steel Workers Union for 25 years. Charlie enjoyed fishing and spending time with Maggie.

  

Survivors:  In addition to Maggie, he is survived by daughters Sonjia and Kristine Weidner; sister Mary Ann Blose all of Allentown; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his canine companion Ted.

 

Services: Charlie's burial services are private. His arrangements are entrusted to Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantemifuneralhome.com.
