Charles Piazza Obituary

Charles Piazza, 67, of Easton, passed away peacefully in his home on March 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 11, 1957, in Lodi, New Jersey, Charles lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for his work, and a love for sports and music that brought joy to all who knew him.

Charles was the son of the late Bernard and Gussie (D'Affronte) Piazza. His early years in Lodi were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, which later grew to include his beloved wife of 45 years, Elaine (Bernardini) Piazza, and their two sons, Charlie, and Kevin Piazza. Charles was a loving brother to Patricia Smith and her husband Joe, Janet Piazza and her companion Jim Zisa, and Bernard Piazza and his wife Sue. His role as a fun and caring uncle to many loving nieces and nephews further showcased his capacity for love and his natural ability to bring laughter and light into their lives.

A proud graduate of Lodi High School, Charles's thirst for knowledge and his aptitude for numbers led him to pursue higher education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he earned his master's degree in finance. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a successful career as a financial analyst, where he was respected for his sharp mind and trusted for his integrity.

Outside of his professional life, Charles was a man of diverse interests and simple pleasures. An avid sports enthusiast, he had a particular affection for pickleball, a game he played with both competitive spirit and a sense of fun. His loyalty as a fan was unwavering, especially when it came to his favorite teams, the New York Jets, and the New York Mets. Win or lose, Charles's support for his teams was as steadfast as his commitment to his family and friends.

Music was another of Charles's great loves, a constant backdrop to the moments of his life. Whether it was humming a tune or attending a live concert, music brought him an immeasurable sense of happiness.

A man of simple tastes, Charles never lost his hankering for a good bagel, a small pleasure that was a testament to his appreciation for life's everyday joys. His ability to find contentment in the ordinary moments was a lesson in gratitude that he imparted to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charles's legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering zest for life. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will live on in the memories shared, the stories retold, and the lives he touched.
