Bernice M. Frantz, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at St. Luke's VNA Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Ralph W. Frantz, who died in 2002.
Born in Bangor, Bernice was the daughter of the late Lester and Ida (Mack) Meyers. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1944, and went on to work for the former Grace Lutheran Church as the church secretary for over 30 years, where she was also a long standing member. Bernice enjoyed knitting and volunteering, and she knitted many items for the RSVP group, for Lehigh Valley Hospital, for disadvantaged children, and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was active in many Bible Study groups over the years, and was also a board member at Lutheran Manor. Bernice was a member of Holy Trinity-Salem Parish in Bethlehem.
Survivors: Children Diane Frantz, with whom she resided, and Robert C. Frantz and his wife Heather of Bethlehem; sister Grace Ladew of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren Andrew Frantz and his wife Becca, Amy Gross and her husband Scott. Bernice was predeceased by her siblings Arlene Lynn, Glenn and Carl Meyers.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 13, in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of services. Burial will follow at Nisky Hill Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
