Anthony “Blake” Javier Ortiz, 19, of Coplay, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia as the result of a tragic accident. Born on December 14, 2000 in Bethlehem, he was the son of Javier “Tito” and Missie (Funk) Ortiz. Anthony’s short life can best be remembered through his love of family and friends. His smile could melt your heart, and his kind and caring instincts showed wisdom beyond his years. At the time of his passing, he was finding his path in life with fiancé, Evan Anderson, while living in Stockbridge, GA. He loved spending time sharing new adventures and working on his first car.
Survivors: In addition to his parents, Javier and Missie, Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his maternal grandmother, Leasa Dewalt; paternal grandmother, Ana R. Ortiz; brothers, Javier “Junior” Ortiz, Reynaldo Ocasio and Calvin Ocasio; sisters, Ana Rosa Ortiz, Destany Ocasio, Kayla Ocasio, Brianna Beahm, Leasa Ortiz and Melissa Ortiz. Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Juan Ortiz. Anthony’s gift of love provided him with many surrogate family members. He leaves behind his beloved partner, Evan Anderson, his parents Wendy and Zack, of Stockbridge, GA and their children. His life will also be eternally remembered by his mentors Daria and Michael Kret and Lorna Velazquez of Bethlehem.
Services: A contactless drive thru viewing will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 5:30P.M. to 7:30P.M. at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem. A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family and available at 1:00P.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 for streaming purposes.
