Anna Polonski, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021 while in the care of the St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Walter Polonski. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia (Duanolo) Murante. She was born 5th in an Italian-American family of 8. She was the first to marry and gave birth to her parents first grandchild. After 29 years of marriage she became a widow at age 49 and never remarried. Anna was a member of the the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary where she was the custodian and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and also a current member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem. She worked in food service at Lehigh University for 10 years and previously as a factory worker. Anna enjoyed playing solitaire. Anna was devoted to her family and spending time with them all.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Virginia Carr and her husband Thomas of Bethlehem; grandchildren Eric Carr and his wife Ann Marie and Tara Mosebach and her husband Jonathan and her loving great granddaughter Erica Ann Carr. Anna was preceded in death by her siblings Michael, Vincent, Louis, Carmela, Joseph, Daniel and Rose.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the Mass in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Due to current restrictions we ask you to follow social distancing protocols and a facial covering must be worn.
