Thomas Francis Shields, 65, of Salisbury Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. He was born on February 18, 1961, in Fountain Hill, the son of the late Francis L. Shields, Jr., and Elizabeth C. (Ahlum) Shields.

Thomas was a graduate of Salisbury High School and built his career in the construction trades, working as a carpenter and proud member of the carpenter's union. He was a skilled and dedicated craftsman throughout his working life.

Outside of work, Thomas found his greatest pleasures in simple, honest pursuits. He was an avid fisherman who spent many contented hours near the water, and he kept a garden at home with care and quiet pride. He had a deep affection for his dog, Ferocious, who was a constant companion.

Thomas was a man of straightforward character who lived life on his own terms. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and the warmth he brought to those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis L. Shields, Jr.

Thomas is survived by his mother, Elizabeth C. Shields; his sisters, Gail, Patricia and her husband Anthony, and Stephanie and her husband George.

Services : A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015. A calling hour will be held at 10 AM until the start of the service. Thomas's arrangements have been entrusted to Cantelmi Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
