Stephen Hoog, 81, of Ottsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

He was the son of the late Stephen Hoog, Sr. and Katherine Laufer. Stephen is survived by his nieces, Jaime Stansfield and Nicole Jastrow; his cousins, Andrew Gonzaga and Catherine Adams; and many extended relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

A graduate of East Stroudsburg University, Stephen was an independent and eclectic spirit who truly marched to the beat of his own drum. He embraced life with curiosity, authenticity, and kindness, finding joy in community, conversation, and music, especially through Drum Circle gatherings. He was known for his gentle nature, unique perspective, and quiet strength.

Stephen will be remembered for living life on his own terms and for the warmth and individuality he brought to those who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.

In keeping with Stephen's wishes, a green natural burial will take place Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Green Meadows Natural Burial Ground at Fountain Hill Cemetery.
