Scott Raymond Peterson, 38, of Bethlehem died Thursday, July 2, 2026 in his home. Born in Hackettstown, NJ, he was the beloved son of Debra Ann (Stohr) Peterson of Freemansburg and the late Andrew Tage Peterson. A 2005 Pocono Mountain High School graduate, Scott studied drama at Northampton Community College. Scott was employed as the live in and kitchen manager at Traditions of Hanover, Bethlehem for the past 10 years. He was well loved by the residents and staff. Previously he worked in the kitchen at Steelworks Buffet and Grill, Bethlehem. Scott was the founder of the support group A Space for Aces at the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, Allentown. Scott was a great cook, a talented photographer and enjoyed woodworking. He also loved hiking and one of his favorite trails was Jacobsburg Creek.

Survivors: Mother, Debra and her partner Scott Legath of Freemansburg; brother, Bryan A. Peterson and his wife Lili of Orefield; niece, Avery; beloved cats, Harry and Sally.

Service: A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00PM Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. A calling hour will be held from 6:00PM to 7:00PM Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the funeral home. Entombment will be private. Please record a memory at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
