Ruth Zaun Obituary Ruth Augusta Zaun, 91, a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, passed away on March 2, 2024 at her residence. Ruth was the widow of William F. Zaun. Born on February 7, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Toth) Schmidt. Ruth was a proud graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1951. Her work ethic shone brightly during her years as a cashier at Shop Rite in Bethlehem, from where she eventually retired. Ruth was a faithful member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, Bethlehem. Passionate about spending quality time with her family, Ruth loved taking them on annual vacations to Stone Harbor, NJ. Those precious moments created memories that will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Ruth lived a full life, marked by her unwavering kindness and joyful spirit, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her sons, William F. Zaun Jr. and his wife Sharon, and Jeffrey W. Zaun and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Ryan, Kimberly, Hunter, and Keaton; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kylee, Alexis, Kaden, and Madison; a great-great-granddaughter; sister, Carol. She was predeceased by her grandson, Gavin, and sister, Charlotte. Services: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
