Rosa
Cosme
Jul 2, 1945 — Feb 24, 2025
Rosa (Quinones) Cosme, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family. Born on July 2, 1945, in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, Rosa's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple pleasures that make life rich and fulfilling.
Rosa's journey began as the beloved daughter of the late Jesus and Severa Quinones. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart were a gift to all who knew her. Rosa's life was further blessed when she married her soulmate, the late Juan Cosme. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, kindness, and an abundance of love. In later years, she found companionship and joy with her loving partner, Eliezer Rios, with whom she shared many cherished moments.
Rosa's passions were a reflection of her love for life. She found joy in the kitchen, where she believed that "when you cook, you cook with love." Her culinary creations were more than just meals; they were expressions of her heart, shared generously with all. Rosa's green thumb brought beauty into the world, as she tended to her plants with the same care and attention she gave to her loved ones.
Rosa had an undeniable zest for life, always eager to join in and make every moment more joyful. Her infectious laughter and radiant presence lit up every gathering, turning even the simplest occasions into cherished memories. She found happiness in life's little pleasures—especially a good glass of Pinot Grigio—but nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her beloved grandchildren, who were her greatest pride.
Whether through music, laughter, or shared stories over wine, Rosa had a way of bringing people together. She was the heart of every celebration, her warmth and spirit leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Rosa's legacy is carried on through her devoted children, Carmen Cosme-Alvarez and her husband Jose, Juan Cosme, and Brunilda Cosme. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Sara, Krystal, Christian, Nicole, and Noah, and great-grandmother to Chloe. Her love extended to her siblings, Norma and Gloria, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She was preceded in death by her siblings Josefina, Vidal, Angel Louis, Dimas, and Jose.
