Obituary

Ronald J. Lucas, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Born on February 18, 1959, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Gerald Lucas and Catherine Seng.

Ronald spent his career as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at American Atelier Inc., work that suited a man who was naturally handy and took satisfaction in fixing things. Beyond the job, he gave his time generously to his community through his membership in the Fearless Fire Company, Salisbury Fire Company, and Mountainville Fire Company, as well as the Fountain Hill Democratic Association. He was a man who showed up.

Away from work and service, Ronald had a creative side that ran deep. He loved art, drawing, and painting, and found real fulfillment in making things with his hands. He was social by nature, the kind of person who enjoyed good company and made the most of time spent with friends. He worked hard at everything he did and asked the same of the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia, and his father, Gerald Lucas.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Kimberly Lucas (Shumberger); his daughter, Eva Nicole; his stepchildren, Cameron Koch and Allyson Koch; his granddaughter, Alyssa; and his siblings, Theresa, Carol, and Alan.
