Obituary

Roger R. Reppert, Sr., 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 31, 1943, in Rising Sun, PA, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Margaret (Marks) Reppert. Roger married the love of his life, Judith A. (Young) Reppert, and together they shared 58 wonderful years—raising a big family, building a home filled with love, and making memories that will be treasured forever.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Roger took great pride in having served his country. Following his military service, Roger embarked on a career as a truck driver for Georgia Pacific. His dedication to his work was evident in the nearly 10 million miles he drove, a remarkable achievement that spoke to his commitment and tenacity. Roger's work ethic and reliability made him a respected figure on the road and within the trucking community.

Roger was a longtime member of the Fountain Hill American Legion, where he found community and continued service among fellow veterans and friends.

He was a man who loved to laugh, to tell a good story, and to be surrounded by the people he cared about. Whether he was swapping stories at the Legion, spending time with his grandkids, or enjoying a quiet day at home, Roger lived with purpose and heart.

Roger was a proud dad and is survived by his children: Roger Klotz, Thomas Reppert (Donna), Linda Harring, Denise Swartz (Charles), Roger R. Reppert, Jr. (Karen Roba), Michelle Hamm (Lewis), Holly Christman (Matthew), and James Reppert (Allison). He was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one holding a special place in his heart.

He is also survived by his sister Peggy Lawlor (Thomas) and brother Wilson Reppert. He was preceded in death by siblings Robert Reppert, Rose Becker, Ruth Bates, and John Beck.
