Robert Rotz Obituary Robert "Bob" J. Rotz, Sr., 80, of Abode Care of Allentown died Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Barbara Jean (Desh) Rotz for 39 years until her death on September 13, 2021. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Henry and Miriam D. (Christman) Rotz. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he received his GED and served his country in Vietnam. After the war, Bob worked as an automotive mechanic at various garages in the Lehigh Valley for many years. Later in life he was a black jack dealer at Mohegan Sun and drove for Uber after retiring. Survivors: Children, Sherry Skoutelas of Freemansburg, Robert J. Rotz, Jr. of Effort, William J. Rotz and his fiance Joy Wharen of Jim Thorpe; stepchildren, Daniel Beisel and wife Jennifer of Macungie, Sherri wife of Gerald Reinbold, Jr. of Emmaus, Julie Anne Sands and her husband Charlie Stinger; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
