Robert Benner Obituary Robert Benner, 72, of Bethlehem, passed away on October 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 20, 1952, in Bethlehem, Robert was the son of the late Harry and Jean (Dutko) Benner.
A proud graduate of Liberty High School's class of 1970, Robert's thirst for knowledge led him to Kutztown University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. His education laid the foundation for a successful career owning Benner's Builders, a construction company that not only built structures but also a strong community through its numerous projects.
Robert's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He enjoyed traveling and took every opportunity to explore new places, with a particular fondness for trips to Lake Wallenpaupack and the mountains. An avid reader, he loved nothing more than taking his grandkids to the library, instilling in them the love for books that he held so dear. His support for his grandchildren extended to the sidelines of their sporting events, where he was their biggest cheerleader.
Robert's life was marked by a deep commitment to his family. He was a loving father to his sons, Adam Benner and his wife Megan, and Scott Benner, both of Bethlehem, and his daughter, Bailey Benner of Bethlehem Township. His grandchildren, Abbie, Calum, and Emmett were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Robert was a source of strength and inspiration to his family, and his legacy will live on through them.
He was a beloved brother to Nancy Halleman, Gary Benner and his wife Linda, and Paulette Mondjack, and a brother-in-law to Suzanne Benner. Robert was preceded in death by his grandson Gabriel Benner, his brother James Benner and the love of his life Cathy Benner.
