Robert Andrew Obituary Robert E. Andrew, born January 1, 1933, passed peacefully on May 7th at home in Saylorsburg, surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Hertha (Ihle), brother Wilson, sisters-in-law, Hilda and Helen, and his beloved son Christopher. Bob grew up in Fountain Hill graduating from Fountain Hill High School. Following his service as a sergeant in the Korean War, he returned home to the Bethlehem area. Bob was a long-time candy-maker for almost 30 years for Josh Early Candies, and he delighted in bringing family and friends their favorite chocolate treats. Bob belonged to the American Legion and was an active member of Neola United Methodist Church. Known by many as Uncle Bob, he loved gardening (earning several blue ribbons at the West End Fair), fishing, the Yankees, Penn State, making sauerkraut, feeding and watching the birds and deer, creating "putz" villages with Lionel trains, Weimaraners, and his afternoon beer (or two). He enjoyed sharing his wisdom and hobbies with others, mentoring generations, allowing him to do what he loved most spending time with his family. Leaving behind to honor Bobs memory are his faithful wife of 42 years, Catherine, brother Gilbert, his cherished daughter, Judy Felchock (Scott), grandson Tristan (Cay), great-grandson Beckett, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
