Repash
May 4, 1940 — May 26, 2025
Richard William Repash, known affectionately as Dick to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, in his hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born on May 4, 1940, Dick's 85 years of life were marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a commitment to his community.
Dick's journey began in Bethlehem, where he grew up and later met the love of his life, Dorothy (Bruch) Repash. Their enduring marriage of 64 years was a testament to their unwavering love and partnership. Together, they raised a family of warmth and love, including their children Richard Repash Jr., Cheryl Reph, Dorreen Repash, Theresa Sefranek, and Kristine Mannix. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who will remember him for his wisdom, humor, and the stories he shared. Dick was the cherished brother of Francis "Mouse" Repash and Julie Cooney, and although he was predeceased by many loving brothers, his memory will continue to live on through his extended family and friends.
A graduate of Liberty High School and Votech School, Dick's education laid the foundation for a successful career as a maintenance mechanic. He dedicated many years to various companies, including SNL Plastic, Western Electric, and Durkee Famous Food. Notably, at Durkee's, he served as a Steel Worker Union Representative, where he was respected for his integrity and advocacy for workers' rights.
Dick's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the United States Navy. His patriotism and valor were qualities that those around him deeply admired. Following his military service, Dick continued to exemplify the spirit of community through his active involvement in local organizations. As a lifetime member of the Hecktown Fire Company, he demonstrated his readiness to support and protect his neighbors. His passion for the outdoors and camaraderie was reflected in his membership with the Lower Nazareth Rod and Gun Club. Dick was also a devout member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hecktown.
Dick had a passion for music evident by his DJ services he provided for parties and festivals. Along with his extensive recording collections. He was also a member of the Christmas City C B club (handle King Cobra). He was an avid photographer rarely without his camera.
