Richard Francis Dorsam, a beacon of compassion and dedication, passed away on December 14, 2025, at Arden Courts in Easton, Pennsylvania. Born on April 6, 1948, in Bethlehem, PA, Richard's life was a testament to service, love, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Richard's early years were spent in the town of his birth, where he was nurtured by his parents, the late Francis Dorsam and Catherine (Williams) Dorsam. His journey of learning began at Allentown Central High School, after which he pursued higher education with vigor, earning a Bachelor's Degree from Moravian University, followed by a Master's Degree from Scranton University. His thirst for knowledge did not end there, as he furthered his skills at St. Luke's School of Nursing, propelling him into a lifelong career of caring for others as a Registered Nurse.

In his personal life, Richard's heart belonged to his beloved wife of 46 years, Judith A. (Guzie) Dorsam. Together, they forged a family built on the foundations of love and resilience. He was a proud parent to Benedict Dorsam and spouse Nikki of Fuquay Varina, NC, Jillian Dorsam of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Jaclyn Lovering with spouse Jason of Bethlehem, PA. His role as a brother was cherished by Mary Stout and spouse Cosimo of Bethlehem, PA. Richard's legacy will continue to thrive through his four grandchildren: Hunter, Aurora, Everly, and Brooks, who will carry forward his spirit of generosity and strength.

Richard's life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his community. He was a devout member of Notre Dame Bethlehem Catholic Church, where his faith found expression in service and fellowship. His passion for sports was evident in his involvement as an avid softball and baseball coach, impacting the lives of many young athletes with his guidance and encouragement. His commitment to youth extended to his active participation in the Northwest Little League, where he served as a mentor and role model.

His service to the nation was honored through his time in the Navy, a period that instilled in him the values of discipline and loyalty that he carried throughout his life. Even beyond his professional and military service, Richard found joy in camaraderie and shared interests as a former member of the SoCols, a reflection of his multifaceted personality and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
