Phyllis Jordan Obituary Phyllis (Deebel) Jordan, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on April 4, 1939, in Ringtown, she was a daughter to the late Marvin and Florence (Bley) Deebel. Phyllis's final moments were spent in the warmth of her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family, who will continue to honor her legacy.
A 1957 honors graduate of Ringtown High School, Phyllis's commitment to excellence was evident early on. She carried this dedication throughout her career, serving with distinction as a secretary for the Bethlehem Area School District until her retirement. Her passion for community engagement led her to a fulfilling post-retirement position at the Moravian Book Store, where she connected with and served her community with joy and enthusiasm.
Family was the cornerstone of Phyllis's life. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Michele Massey and her husband C. David, and Denise Kehley Stahl. Her siblings, Rose Jablonski and her husband Bill, Paul Deebel, and Karen Everett and her husband Glenn, sister in law JoAnn Deebel, also share in the family's loss, as do her adoring grandchildren, Kyle Massey and his wife Nicole, Taylor Massey and his companion Jessica, Emily Stahl, and Olivia Stahl. Phyllis was blessed to see the joy of the next generation through her great-grandchildren, Ryker, Gage, and Blake Massey. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson Trevor Logan Massey and her brother Thomas Deebel, who both hold a special place in her heart.
Phyllis was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she found spiritual solace and community. Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit; she found pleasure in cleaning, cooking, and bakingalways eager to share her culinary creations with family and friends. Dancing brought a sparkle to her eye, and her laughter was a melody that resonated at every family gathering.
Above all, Phyllis's family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, celebrating their achievements, and providing a comforting presence in times of need. Her love was a guiding force that will continue to shape their lives in the years to come.
